Fasting 24 Hours Cholesterol Range
Most of us that have been to the doctor and had a cholesterol test have found out that our cholesterol numbers are high. There are very few of us that go in for one of these tests and find out that we are right in the range that we need to be. More than likely, we had one of these cholesterol tests done because we were not feeling well or because we were dealing with other health issues and felt that cholesterol might be the culprit behind it. You might be surprised to learn, however, that cholesterol might not be as evil as what many of us think.
There is some research that has recently taken place which shows that high cholesterol numbers are not the problem behind serious difficulties, such as heart attack and stroke. As a matter of fact, there are some cultures that typically have high cholesterol and they actually outlive those of us that are trying to fight these numbers on a regular basis. This has more to do with the fact that they live an overall healthy lifestyle and although their cholesterol numbers are high, they also eat the right types of foods, get plenty of exercise and live a stress-free life for the most part.
If you are diagnosed with high cholesterol, you need to take a look at what is behind that cholesterol problem and not to look directly at the numbers themselves. For example, a person that is obese may go to the doctor and find out that they have a difficulty with their cholesterol. The doctor will give them a prescription in order to lower their cholesterol but would do nothing in order to cure the problem that is behind that cholesterol in the first place, their obesity. Wouldn't it be a wiser decision to lose weight and then naturally lower your cholesterol numbers instead of getting on a pharmaceutical medication which may have side effects which are rather unsavory?
Cholesterol is something that is produced by the human body and it is necessary for us to live. Instead of trying to fight the cholesterol numbers which are really just an indicator of another problem within the body, it would be better if we found the other problem and dealt with it in that way. By doing so, we will be healthier overall and we will naturally see our cholesterol numbers come into line.
