Fasting 24 Hours Cholesterol Range
Most people tend to think about cholesterol problems as being something that typically happens to adults, and they are correct. The unfortunate thing is, there are many times whenever children also have problems with high cholesterol and these can be a little bit more difficult for you to treat. I'm not saying that it is not possible for you to naturally treat a problem such as this, but I am saying that it is difficult to avoid looking at a pharmaceutical cure in order to protect the ones that we love, especially when it holds out the promise of doing so quickly.
There are a number of reasons why children may be having a problem with their cholesterol and many times, you need to look at the thing that is behind the cholesterol problems and not directly at the cholesterol numbers themselves. One of the difficulties that many individuals are having with their children at this time is the fact that childhood obesity is increasing at an alarming rate. Obesity is one of the problems that causes difficulties with your cholesterol numbers so it should really not come as a surprise if your child is obese that they would be having a problem with cholesterol as well. Help to normalize their weight, and you will see the cholesterol numbers begin to come into line as well.
Another problem that children may be having which can contribute to high cholesterol is a lack of exercise. Many children tend to spend the majority of their time sitting in front of a TV set or perhaps texting on the telephone. These don't promote much movement and exercise in a child, which is something that is very important for them to get on a regular basis. If you can structure regular exercise into their daily activities, you would be surprised with how much their overall health will improve.
One final thing that may be a problem with childhood obesity is stress. Stress is often a trigger which takes our cholesterol numbers quite high and this has been proven, over and over again. Even though we may look at children as being carefree, they often have just as much, if not more stress than what we have as adults. If you feel that your child is having a difficulty with stress, find a way for them to be able to get an outlet for that stress and to cope with it successfully. You should see their overall health improve as a result.
