According to medical and scientific research, the only ways for you to be able to adjust your cholesterol levels is to eat a better diet or to take some kind of prescription. Diet does, however, control your cholesterol and your overall health in a number of different ways.

One of the main problems that leads to high cholesterol is obesity. The only way for you to be able to get rid of the underlying cause is by changing your diet. Yes, you can exercise which will help to speed up the process a little bit but even that will help to adjust your cholesterol in the proper way. By dieting and reducing the amount of calories that you are eating below what you are expending on a daily basis, you can gradually lose weight that will help your overall health and your cholesterol numbers.

If you want to live a life that is naturally free from cholesterol medication, one that will give you health benefits that you may not have at the moment, make sure that your weight is under control. Through a series of diet and exercise that is natural and reasonable, you will be able to achieve your goals.
