Prandin side effects

Most of the adverse reactions reported in association with Prandin are transitory and mild in intensity.

* Hypoglycemia is among the first side effects Prandin triggers, particularly if you are too active.

* Infections of the urinary and respiratory tracts may also appear, whether associated with digestive symptoms or not.

* Prandin may cause bronchitis-like reactions, chest pain and sinus inflammation.

If such side effects fail to disappear or don't decrease in intensity, contact the doctor immediately and see if it is necessary to interrupt Prandin administration.

Special mentions should be made to discourage any intentions of using Prandin as an insulin substitute. This drug is totally unsuitable for type 1 diabetes that is insulin-dependent or for diabetic ketoacidosis. The latter represents a very serious medical emergency that can only be treated with immediate insulin administration.
