How is Dapsone administered?

Dapsone is a topical treatment which is applied to affected areas of the skin. It is necessary to wash the skin with warm water and pat the skin dry prior to the application of Dapsone. After drying the skin, apply a thin layer to the affected skin both morning and evening. For children under the age of twelve, consult your doctor on specific application.

If you happen to miss a dose of Dapsone, just apply it as soon as you remember unless it is close to time for your next dose. In this case, skip the forgotten dosage and resume your regular schedule. Dapsone has similar storage requirements to other topical medications. It should be kept away from children and pets. Dapsone should not be exposed to extreme temperatures or direct light.
