You may want to gradually add some utilities to your iPod to enhance its performance and functionality. There are so many extras you can add that it may be hard to choose just one. Fortunately, you can add as many as you want.
The add2ipod utility allows you to add music files right to your iPod library without going through the hassle of copying them into your iTunes library. The Split + Join utility will let you put 2000 character groups of text onto your iPod which is quite handy.
Anapod Explorer (free version) allows you to view your iPod and copy files to it as a device in Windows Explorer. The full version allows you to transfer files from your iPod to a PC. Anapod Explorer requires a PC-formatted iPod. AppleScript iPod Scripts are free scripts for creating and managing notes on your iPod, which include Clear All Notes, Clipboard to Note, Eject iPod, List Notes, and Note From Webpages. BITcom Xpod lets you copy music files from your iPod to your local hard disk. Broken Helix pulls out songs from your iPod and transfers them into iTunes.
Ejector adds an Eject icon to the Mac OS X menu bar. From it you are able to eject an iPod, CD, DVD, USB, .dmg or a hard disk. El iPodo lets you browse your iPod and copy files to your hard disk.
