Estrace cream is used for treating mucous membranes of the vagina that are wasting. It is made out of synthetic vaginal female hormone and it works by replacing hormone levels in women who are not capable of producing ample amounts of hormones during menopausal symptoms.

Inform your doctor

Your doctor may prescribe Estrace cream to you but before they do that, make sure to inform them of any existing medical conditions especially if they involve the following things:

* You have plans on becoming pregnant
* You are taking taking nonprescription or other prescription medicines
* You are taking dietary or herbal supplements
* You are allergic to certain foods and medicines.
* You have a history of breast cancer
* You have yellowing eyes or skin while you are pregnant due to estrogen and high blood pressure.
* You have a vaginal infection or problems with your womb
* You have abnormal levels of calcium in your blood or blood disorders.
* You have diabetes, epilepsy, high blood pressure, seizures, depression, lipid problems
* You are a smoker or planning to undergo surgery.

Precautions

Remember that some medicines tend to interact with the ingredients of Estrace cream. These medicines include barbiturates and medicines used for reducing the thickness of your blood. They may increase the risks for side effects of the product or reduce its effectiveness. Furthermore, never apply the cream if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.

The dosage

The dosage for Estrace cream is dependent on your doctor's orders. However, don't forget to read the label for further information on exact dosage instructions. Missed a dose?
