Side Effects Of Duphaston Drug

Pharmacy Drugs

Dramamine is a known prescription drug that is normally used to treat motion sickness. Aside from that, some doctors also administer this drug for treatment of Meniere's disease and vertigo. Dramamine dosage varies across the different health conditions it aims to treat. It is best to consult your doctor first before taking this drug to make sure that you're taking the right Dramamine dosage for your specific condition.

Dramamine dosage for different conditions

Adults and teenagers who are suffering from motion sickness are advised to take one 50 mg tablet every four hours or as needed. You need to take it as soon as you feel dizzy or nauseous and make sure to drink lots of water. If you know that you're going to suffer from travel sickness, you can take this medicine at least thirty minutes before you leave.

To treat Meniere's disease, you need to take one tablet (50 mg) thrice a day or according to your doctor's prescription. For vertigo, a 50mg Dramamine tablet every four hours or as needed should be taken.

There is no recommended dosage for Dramamine that young children can take. Unless the doctor specifically advises it, don't give Dramamine to children younger than two years. It is also not recommended for women who are breastfeeding. Always follow the recommended dosage instructions on the label before using the drug.

Special precautions

Dramamine may be taken whether or not you have eaten yet. Make sure to read the package first before using the product. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember but if it's almost time for your next regular dose, don't take two tablets to compensate for the one you missed. Just take the recommended dosage and go back to your regular routine. Overdose of this drug may aggravate the adverse effects of taking Dramamine. Also, don't take this drug longer than is necessary or as advised by your doctor.

Taking this medication may cause dizziness and hot weather conditions may aggravate this condition. In case you feel dizzy after taking the drug, try to lie down or sit for the moment. Try to do away with strenuous activities that could increase your body temperature. While on medication, your body may become more sensitive to heat so you also need to stay out of the sun for a while. If you must be out in the heat for a prolonged period, wear protective clothing or sunscreen.
