So far, we have only done an example when the value before the x² isequal to 1. It works exactly the same way though whatever the value is.

eg.
3x² - 8x + 4 = 0
(The two numbers are -6 and -2)
3x²-6x-2x+4=0
3x(x-2)-2(x-2)=0
(3x-2)(x-2)=0

3x-2=0
3x=2
x=2/3

x-2=0
x=2

Therefore the two solutions here are 2/3 and 2

This spring, the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) brought online what they bill as the largest open access supercomputer in the world. True to form, they've named it something distinctly Texan - Ranger. Other systems at TACC go by names such as Lonestar, Maverick, and Ranch. Ranger has a whopping 504 teraflops peak performance, 125 terabytes memory and 1.7 petabytes disk space.
