Avoiding Mistakes - How To Be A Public Speaking Star Self Help
November 23rd, 2008

During the process of writing and giving your speech, you want to avoid mistakes. Avoiding mistakes takes work on your part, including avoiding fooling yourself as you work through the process.

As you begin to write, it is important to avoid jumping to conclusions. Some of the worst mistakes in the world came from people jumping to conclusions or assuming. Conclusions jumped without thinking includes a mind that is lacking adequate evidence to verify their facts. The best solution for avoiding these mistakes is always, think as you work and ask questions. Questions often lead to answers.

The last thing you want to do is stay on the defense as you write your speech. Try not to attack each idea, opinion, guess, or theory that comes your way. Instead, evaluate each idea carefully and search for resolves as you think.

You will need to avoid excuses. Excuses solve nothing and often have nothing to do with the point you are trying to make. Leave out excuses, and avoid putting off your task to write the speech.

You will also need to think in general terms. In other words, use the 'all or nothing' logic while you write your speech. Rather, instead of thinking that all people are stingy, think some people are stingy, while others are nice.

The biggest mistakes in the world came from emotions. If you use your emotions to think, you will fall on your face. Your thoughts are what you will need to write a top-notch speech, as well as experiences. Combine your thoughts experiences, skills, critical thinking, analytic abilities and more and you will deliver a top-notch speech.

Let's review so that you can see how avoiding mistakes can help you write a top-notch speech that will put you in the spotlights.

While writing your speech you always want to ask questions. Even if it seems logical dig deeper to make sure it is facts. If it doesn't seem logical, again dig deeper to verify the facts or untruths.

You will need to keep in mind that excuses are mistakes. Don't make them, rather learn to accept your human flaws and learn from them. Seek the truths at all times, and instead of using logic and facts gather evidence to support those theories, opinions, ideas and so forth.

During your speech writing process always, recognize your decisions, as well as clarifying your values. You will also need to learn to make informed decisions as you write your speech. Always base your decisions on the plans you set for writing your speech. You can also gain by using time as an ally, as well as applying intuitions and acting on your decisions.

Overall, you will need to learn critical thinking and how it works, as well as learning to make good decisions. You will also need to find answers to your problems and learn to accept what may not seem real or logical.

Someone brought out a point to me that it took some time to think about to learn if it made sense. I will share this idea with you to help you see where some answers are problematic, yet it doesn't mean the answers are not facts. The person told me that every problem made in politicians, laws, and life it self came from a person that said, "I think." As you evaluating this theory think of all the times a person said, I think and what was the return.

Finally, use your inquisitives and ask why and how when you are presented with answers to your problems in the process of writing a star bound speech
